Lynn Valley Renovation

This kitchen and family room renovation significantly increases the perceived size of the home.  The existing kitchen was separated from the dining room by a wall, while a chest level partition wall divided it from the family room. In the new design, these walls were demolished to open up the kitchen to the dining and family rooms. White cabinetry and a new window brighten the space while a built-in banquette of cherry wood overlooks the family room.  Cherry wood on the backside of the counter facing the dining room as well as in the bench/banquette zone warms the space and links the kitchen to the family and dining rooms where wood is a prominent material. The new space is wonderful for entertaining due to its spaciousness and visual links between kitchen, dining and family rooms.
